Quality tv! January 7, 2009 just got this tv a doddle to set up took about 10-15 minutes, picture quality on the freeview looks better than my brother's sony bravia of the same spec! my only gripe is the guide's a bit complecated and can't be on whilst watching tv, but that's only the same as sky so i can live with that all in all a great buy for 335!
Great choice for the money January 4, 2009 Didn't really know that much about LCD TVs but after owning a 28" CRT Toshiba TV for four years, thought my first port of call should be this trusted brand.
I purchased from Curry's (for 40 more but then again I wanted it the same day, on New Year's Eve), took it away and straight from the box was impressed.
Compared to a CRT the picture is different - LCDs tend to look a bit grainy - but running my Sky HD through it, the HD channels are fantastic and even the standard channels look good. I just upped the contrast a little and the sharpness and it looks brilliant.
The outputs on the rear are all clearly marked (except the aerial, which is underneath on the rear) and it worked first time with the Sky box, DVD player and my XBOX 360. The only thing I can't seem to do is properly run the TV through my surround sound system but I countered this by plugging the Sky box into the amplifier instead.
Picture on HD is amazing (as good as a 800 Sony that my mate has), as is the picture with my Xbox through the HD component leads. Very little in the way of blurring with quick movement etc (especially on games) and no more than I've seen on other TVs.
The gloss black casing is stylish, minimalist and subtle and looks great. The matt screen has a great angle of view too.
All in all, this was a great buy for under 400 and better than anything Sony or Samsung do for the same price.
So far, so good January 1, 2009 First, superb service from amazon. Ordered 28th, delivered 30th. Not bad. Very impressed with television so far. Origional settings needed a bit of adjustment but that proved to be easy. Haven't attached speakers but the sound is still good. No ghosting at all. Now have to work out how to stop picture reverting to 4:3 after advert break on commercial channels. Any clues? No doubt will work it out in the end though. All in all, very impressed
Great TV for PS3 gaming December 27, 2008 Had one bought for me for PS3 gaming and am very happy with it. Freeview picture also good.
Great Toshiba December 17, 2008 Just had this for 3 weeks,it replaced an old Toshiba c.1984 which was very good and still going strong but very bulky compared to todays technology. This TV is excellent for value and picture and sound quality. We've put it on the wall and it looks fantastic just in time for Christmas.Checked in Currys it was 60 more, and as always Amazon delivery was excellent.
