I have this connected to my screen by two connections; SCART for the ease of use by the wife (technophobe), so that playing a DVD means put it on, and it shows on the screen.
I also have the HDMI connected. But when I increase the resultion up from the basic 576, the SCART video ceases to work, just as the HDMI performance improves.
No great shakes; just a bit annoying if I leave the resolution turned up, since the wife cannot use the player.

I just bought this product and I can conform it is multiregion (out teh box). Good images at either 720p and 1080i resoluion. Highly recommended and a real bargain for the price and quality.

This DVD player was a real let down. It is a noisy player and the picture will often freeze especially when chapters are skipped or a dual layer DVD changes layers. For the money I paid i was expecting much more. Avoid.

I already owned the toshsd360 upscaling dvd player which encouraged me to buy the sd370 as i was very happy with it. Im not dissapointed again absolutley no problems with it, plays my divx movies with excellent pic via hdmi & sound thro digital coax. Cant vouch for CD playback. 40 makes it a bargain. I read the negative comments posted here before buying, glad i was not put off. This will do me till blu-ray prices continue to tumble.

Just bought this player along with a tosh 37" 1080p tv and HDMI lead,bit fed up as got it from comet for 59 maybe should have tried amazon first.
Have had no probs at all so far no freezing or jumps was going to give five stars but am slightly worried after reading posted reviews feels like im waiting for it to go wrong now!In so far very happy with both pic quality and sound, i find the upscaler combined with the hdmi cable really does make a huge difference to what i was used to.Great tv Great player(so far!)
