HD on a budget. December 7, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The Camileo H10 provides you with high def video & stills on a shoestring. That's if like me you want to upgrade on a budget but can withstand the somewhat niggly & basic features. For less than 180 you are not getting super high quality pics or film & i didn't expect this. What you are getting is a perfectly acceptable high defenition camcorder with great pics & very reasonable quality recordings. The camileo is palm friendly with strap for stabilization. The cam is very easy to use, comes with a remote control, hdmi & component cable & a user friendly disc to read all of the features on your pc. However, there are those niggly features i mentioned earlier. The video seems to jerk when panning around. Also when pointed at direct light; eg, sun, the film produces a pink stripe accross the screen so this should obviously be avoided. Serious filmers should look elsewhere if they want proffessional video. For what i paid i am reasonably happy as cameras in this range are twice the price. To summarise ; Features: 6/10, Video quality: 6.5/10, Pic quality: 8/10, Price: 9/10, Overall: 7/10.
